Perspective of Patron

Swami Vivekananda

Narendranath Datta became Swami Vivekananda through his deep spiritual training under Sri Ramakrishna, taking monastic vows after his guru’s death, and adopting the name “Vivekananda” (meaning “bliss of discerning wisdom”).

Swami Vivekananda believed education should build character, strengthen the mind, and awaken inner strength. He emphasized learning through experience and practical application, not just bookish knowledge.

Swami Vivekananda also said:

• “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.”

• “The goal of education is to manifest the inner perfection, not to stuff the mind with external information.”

He believed education should help individuals realize their true potential and serve society.
