About the School

The educational initiative, St. Margaret Convent School, at Bamangachi from the session 2021–22, is undoubtedly a great inspiration and enthusiasm by the idealism of Swami Vivekananda, Sister Nivedita, Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, Mira Alfassa. The school is conceptualized rendering education especially to the society of need. Management has taken the initiative to start this institution during pandemic session, when education system was completely interrupted and adversely affected, which enabled the children the educational support nearer to their home.

The campus was built up in the serenity of Bamangachi, where the infrastructure has been made to give a homely atmosphere to the learners. The peaceful area around the locality is considered to be the most perfect environment for rendering education and overall development.

Educational system is conceptualized with the inspiration of ancient Indian method i.e practical, environmental, activity based. Our continuous research and development makes the teaching learning method stress free.

We pride ourselves as having a happy, hard working, family atmosphere, supportive parents, professional and experienced staffs, and the highest expectations.

Children are encouraged to treat others with respect and to value the skills and talents of all. We believe we are an excellent school. Our most recent reviews from parents and local educational council described us as a good school, with pupils making good progress in all parts of the school. We were judged good for pupil achievement, quality of teaching, behaviour and leadership. Parents play a very valuable part in the life of the school and the success of the children. We aim to build on what parents have achieved at home and to act as supportive partners to produce happy and successful children. After reading through this document and having visited the school we trust that you will choose SMCS for the future education and development of your child.
